Mid-State Special Districts Association

The Mid-State Special Districts Association provides a forum for best practices, communication, training, and grassroots legislative activity for independent special districts in Madera, Mariposa, and Merced counites. The local association was established on October 27, 2021, and formally affiliated as a local chapter of the California Special Districts Association in November 2021.

Special district leaders from the three-county region govern the activities of the local association. Mid-State SDA meets quarterly - the first Thursday of the final month of each quarter - to plan member meetings and execute programming for the enrichment of the counties' 67 independent districts.
