Welcome

We invite you to enter the e-District and join us at the California Special Districts Association Annual Conference & Exhibitor Showcase. California’s special districts provide a host of innovative, creative and progressive programs and services to communities throughout the state. While many of these districts are technology driven, there are others that are struggling to cope with the technological changes necessary to run an efficient, productive and cost effective operation. This year’s Annual Conference is designed to bring technology for special districts to the forefront of our planning processes.

There will be information provided and shared that may either assist your district by enhancing the current menu of services you provide, or it may be that the seed is planted and your district board of directors and general manager can begin to think about the technological changes that could take your district operation to the next level. Whether it is as simple as teaching the basics of using a laptop or a BlackBerry, or as complex as understanding how GIS technology can make a difference to your operation, the 39th CSDA Annual Conference can be the catalyst for you and your district to embrace technology and prepare for the future. We invite you to enter the e-District and explore the possibilities.

Who is CSDA?
The California Special Districts Association was formed in 1969 to ensure the continued existence of local, independent special districts. For 39 years, CSDA has been offering its members cost-efficient programs, education and representation at the state Capitol and boasts a membership of over 1,000 throughout California. We are the only statewide association representing all types of independent special districts including:

Water, Recreation and Park, Cemetery, Fire, Mosquito & Vector Control, Irrigation, Police Protection, Library, Utility, Harbor, Healthcare, Community Service, Airport, Sanitation, Waste Management and many more!

Special districts are governed by elected or appointed officials and range in size and scope from districts with one employee serving hundreds of constituents to districts with hundreds of employees serving tens of thousands.
