Required Component 1
Board Secretary/Clerk Foundations Training
A comprehensive overview of the legal, administrative and customer service roles of a Board Secretary/Clerk.
Required Component 2
Staying in Compliance: Understanding Fundamental Special District Laws
Earn SDRMA Credit Incentive Points
A complete review and discussion of the many laws that pertain to special districts including the Ralph M. Brown Act, CA Public Records Act and Conflict of Interest.
Required Component 3: Webinars
Complete at minimum 4 of the 6 webinars listed below…your choice!

Option 1: Individual Coursework

Attend CSDA’s new Board Secretary/Clerk Conference to complete the certificate program in Monterey!
Requirements & Terms to Receive Graduation Certificate
1. Completion of any of the above CSDA courses within the last 2 years counts toward the graduation certificate.
2. Participants in the certificate program must complete all required course requirements within 2 years of taking the 1st course.
3. Required courses may be taken out of order.
4. All courses must be taken through CSDA. No outside courses will count toward this certificate program.
5. Attendees must be in attendance for the entire duration of the required courses and/or conference to receive credit.
6. Once all courses are completed, participants must complete and submit the Graduate Certificate Application to CSDA within 6 months of completing the last required course. Click here to download application and there is no additional charge.
